The Plasencia family starting growing tobacco in Cuba in 1865. Today, they make over 40 million cigars a year for dozens of the most well known cigar brands. It's been very recent that Plasencia began producing cigars under their own name. The Consecha 146 is to commemorate the 146th anniversary. Consecha is the Spanish word for crop.
What's really unique about this cigar is it is made entirely of from tobacco in crop 146: Criollo '98 tobacco grown in the Plasencia's Honduran and Nicaraguan fields in the 2011-2012 crop year. This cigar will be gone when the tobacco is gone.
A great mild to maybe medium bodied cigar. Mix a little creaminess with a savoriness, and a touch of cocoa. Milder than the del campo, but still delivers on everything that counts. A great smooth, easy to enjoy cigar.
